Post-doctoral Clinical Research Fellowship,  The Scripps Research Institute – La Jolla, CA

A post-doctoral clinical research fellowship is open with an active research group (The Laboratory of Clinical Psychopharmacology) at The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, conducting human laboratory studies and clinical trials in alcoholism and the addictions. Candidate will be trained and responsible for conducting human laboratory studies to screen potential pharmacotherapies for alcohol use disorder. Candidate will also learn novel pharmacological approaches and manual-guided behavioral treatment for alcohol use disorder. He or she will also be involved in recruiting and screening subjects for clinical research studies and conducting standardized assessments including neuropsychological tests and diagnostic interviews. Candidate must possess a doctoral degree. He or she must also possess ability to learn and master specialized laboratory techniques involved in cue reactivity measures. The Center for the Studies of Addiction at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Researcher with skills in neuroimaging, and an interest in the clinical neuroscience of addiction for a position in our NIDA-funded R01, Influence of the natural hormonal milieu on smoking cue responses. The selected candidate will become a member of our inter-disciplinary clinical neuroimaging laboratory with ongoing, funded projects in nicotine and alcohol addiction. ESJH Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is looking for a consultant and liaison psychiatrist to join a team of clinicians at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital and Outpatient Clinic at Executive Park. The physician would be responsible for providing 80% time for clinical care with up to 20% time for academic related activities, which include teaching, scholarship and administration.  Clinical care would be for consultation liaison services at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital (60%), with the remaining time providing outpatient consultation liaison services. Compensation will be commensurate with faculty rank and experience and includes an attractive benefits package. Attending to 12 bed Psych ED under administrative responsibility of Med Director of Emergency Psych.  Responsible for covering clinical service on PER for 32 hr shift coverage per week (4 8 hr shifts) including overnight shifts.  Responsible for 8 hrs administrative time which include teaching, residency supervision, quality improvement projects, CME, presentations at meetings on Emergency Med and research in emergency psychiatry
